Northwest Structural Moving is located just outside of Portland, Oregon and currently serves customers throughout Oregon and Washington. We strive to provide our customers with quality work, timely completion and personalized professional service. Northwest Structural Moving also offers its customers the following additional benefits to ensure the safe and successful completion of your project.
We use only the best equipment the industry has to offer and are continually upgrading to keep up with the advancements in technology. Our entire fleet of dollies is equipped with hydraulic cylinders that lift up to 16 inches to help keep the structure level and protect the building against unnecessary stress and cracking. Each of our dollies has brakes to ensure smooth and safe travel up and down the steepest of hills. You will find our equipment to be well maintained, modern and reliable.
We are also committed to protecting you and your investment by providing you with one of the most comprehensive insurance policies available for the moving or raising of your structure. Your investment is protected with “cargo insurance” which is provided to us by one of the leading insurance companies in the industry. Since normal homeowner policies or commercial liability policies usually do not protect a structure while it is being raised or transported, make sure the company you choose for your project has “cargo insurance” and they are specifically insured for structural moving or raising. Please keep in mind that a company can be licensed, bonded and insured and still not have the proper insurance to be moving or raising structures.
In addition to being licensed, bonded and insured in both Oregon (CCB #119876) and Washington (Registration #SETTLCI027OW), we also maintain “structural moving and raising” worker’s compensation insurance on all our employees. Without this specific type of worker’s compensation insurance, you could be held liable if an uninsured worker is injured on your property. Before a contractor is hired, you should check to make sure they are licensed and insured to work in your state. If your project is located in Oregon, check the Oregon Construction Contractor’s Board website at www.ccb.state.or.us. If your project is located in Washington, check the Washington Labor and Industries website at www.lni.wa.gov. These websites also contain a recent history of a contractor’s performance and any possible claims against the contractor’s bond.
Northwest Structural Moving is currently a member of the IASM ~ International Association of Structural Movers. Our membership in the IASM has provided us access to the latest technology, equipment and techniques available to the industry. We continually strive to stay abreast of the changes going on in the industry in order to better serve our customers.
